Job Description:Neurotech Pharmaceutical Inc. (NPI) is a biotechnology company located in Cumberland, Rhode Island, utilizing a proprietary technology platform called Encapsulated Cell Technology (ECT) to deliver therapeutic factors for the treatment of retinal diseases.
Neurotech is seeking two motivated individuals to be accountable for in-process testing of bulk raw materials, process intermediates, and finished products. The ideal candidates will be able to work independently, be self-directed, and have hands on experience and troubleshooting capabilities in a number of analytical methods, such as FTIR, ELISA, and metabolic assays.
Responsibilities include:
? Performing a wide variety of laboratory tasks as an individual contributor within a team environment.
? The individuals should have a general knowledge of proper aseptic techniques, as some QC testing may require working within a class 100 environment.
? Additional responsibilities include preparing protocols and summaries for experiments of moderate complexity under supervision.
? The ideal candidates will be able to execute and document all testing and tasks per company standard operating procedures and methods and complete all assigned tasks on time per team schedules.
Qualification:
? The individuals should have a Bachelors Degree in a Scientific Discipline
? 1 ? 3 years of work experience in a cGMP QC laboratory.
? Experience writing and modifying Standard Operating Procedures.
? Ability to identify problems and troubleshoot
? Good writing and communication skills
? Fundamental knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as current GMP regulations and the ability to review and understand test data is highly desirable.
