Quality Control Technician QD Vision
QD Vision is seeking a QC Technician to support the Matrix Manufacturing group. The candidate will work as part of a fast-paced manufacturing team generating commercial products based on nanoparticle quantum dot technology. The person will be responsible to build quantum light optics (QLOs) and measure their performance using in-house pilot plant and measurement tools, and also perform other analytical measurements on QD Vision manufactured products. Reporting of findings, both electronically and through batch documentation will be required.
Responsibilities
Setting up/debugging/maintaining analytical and optical measurement systems
Meeting daily production schedule for QC checks
Diligent application of safety and house-keeping practices
Creating/following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Reporting test results both in hard copy and electronic forms as necessary
Maintaining proper documentation and electronic records
Requirements
AS degree or equivalent in technical field and 2+years direct experience
Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shifts
Experience in manufacturing testing and QC is desired; additional experience in a fast-paced start-up environment or pilot facility is a plus
Strong team player and fast learner with excellent observation skills and the ability to react to changing priorities and protocols under tight timelines
Working knowledge of standard chemical safety/hygiene requirements and overall safe workplace practices with excellent safety record
Experience using statistical techniques to monitor and control the process and finished product quality is desired
Exceptional attention to detail, and strong documentation (reports, databases, and spreadsheets) and communication skills
Manual dexterity for use of tools, valves, fittings, instruments; no lifting restrictions up to legally allowed weight limit
Technical math skills and computer skills required (proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel)
