the need for additional resources focused on quality control.--- --- This position is in our newly created quality
control unit and we invite you to explore this opportunity.
Description
The Quality Control Technician will perform tasks which support the manufacture of cell therapy and
combination products in clean room environments.--- --- Operating under strict SOPs, primary duties include the
inspection and sample processing of both raw materials and finished goods, followed by the facilitation of
quality testing by internal or external laboratories.--- --- Additional activities include environmental monitoring,
metrology, and the coordination of preventative maintenance for equipment and instrumentation.--- ---
Assistance with prospective validation processes, including studies designed to test and to qualify equipment
installation, operation and performance is also anticipated.--- --- Throughout all manufacturing activities, accurate
documentation is required, with maintenance of quality control sections of batch and system records being
critical.
The Quality Control Technician will be part of a cohesive manufacturing team and yet possess the ability to
independently organize and set priorities for activities within the quality control unit.--- --- Flexibility to handle
shifts in manufacturing schedules is essential.--- --- Frequent weekend work will be required due to the biological
composition of the product.--- --- --- --- ---
Requirements
An associate degree or two years of college education is required along with a minimum of five years of
experience working in quality control or manufacturing in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.--- ---
Experience working in a clean room is required.--- --- Experience with cell culture or aseptic processing is also
required.--- --- Must be highly organized and possess meticulous attention to detail.--- --- Strong verbal and written
communication skills are required, with particular emphasis on the ability to precisely adhere to written
instructions.--- --- Must be skilled in Microsoft Windows and Office, including Word and Excel.--- --- ---
