Quality Engineer 2 Wavestream
The qualified candidate will work with engineering, component suppliers and contract manufacturers to investigate, identify and clearly document issues related to defect analysis and corrective action documentation and implementation. Responsibilities will include process improvements to the inspection processes and compliance to IPC standards, AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications. Candidate will be responsible for creating and managing strong internal company and supplier/customer relationships to establish, support and improve Quality Processes, Procedures and Systems. Candidate must possess superior analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work and perform in a fast-moving team environment.
Specific tasks include:
Responsible for following and improving internal and external quality systems.
Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
Assist Quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system. Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc. Prepare QA reports.
Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
Develop training to build quality awareness.
Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the requirements of the quality system.
Conduct audits, close out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
Continuously improve QA receiving inspection process and procedures. Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions. Manage suppliers? performance and conduct audits.
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. degree in engineering or related technical degree
Experience and knowledge of quality systems
ISO 9000/AS9100, IPC Standards, RoHS and FEMA experience
Familiarity with Supplier Quality Management Sytems
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
