Responsible for communicating and facilitating quality through the organization and the supply chain.
Principal Responsibilities:
Technical support of engineering including drawing and specification review.
Work with engineering and supplier quality to insure transfer of clear, concise, and approved data to the supplier.
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection plans, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
Develop inspection and sampling plans via AWS/ASQ Z1.4 and Z1.9 and customer and product needs and requirements.
Create aids and communications to assist supplier quality.
Provide or facilitate technical backup in support of supplier quality.
Develop metrics in collaboration with supplier quality to evaluate supply partners.
Report to management on quality issues and trends.
Review customer purchase orders, contracts and change orders to understand, communicate, and coordinate with supplier quality, all quality requirements and ensure that all requirements are included in quality and process plans.
Complete or assist in the completion with supplier quality and supply chain any PPAP?s and First Article Inspection Reports.
Liaison between customer and supplier quality and the supply chain.
Work with supplier quality on failure analysis, root cause analysis, problem solving, corrective action and the verification of effectiveness of that activity.
Collaborate with supplier quality to direct preventive action and continual improvement within the supply chain.
Review inspection data and develop first article inspection reports.
Filter and organize customer feedback and complaints to clarify and prioritize actions.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the ISO9001 quality system.
Participate in the contract review process with sales, business manager and engineering to evaluate all requirements, costs, lead times, etc. toward establishing capability of meeting the order.
Knowledge, understanding, compliance, and enforcement of all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Customer and Niagara Thermal Products (NTP) standards, policies, and procedures.

Job Requirements:
Engineering or technical degree.
Blueprint fluent, with GD&T and CAD, a plus.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Windows and QA applications.
Familiarity with PPAP (Process Flow, FMEA, Control Plans, etc), SPC, APQP, Measurement System Analysis.
Quality Systems experience (ISO9001 necessary, AS9100 a plus).
Experience with developing First Article Inspections Reports (AS9102 a plus).
Fluent with gages (micrometers, calipers, etc.) and measurement system analysis.
Understanding of basic quality methodologies.
Experience in a manufacturing environment including machining, welding and fabrication.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
