Description
Cvent has multiple openings for talented Quality Engineers with 0-2 years of experience in software testing. The Quality Engineering Team falls within our Technology group, which designs, develops and operates large-scale, web-based applications. Quality Engineers ensure the quality and integrity of the web-based applications through writing and executing test plans to identify software defects. This position plays an integral role in application usability and provides product feedback at all stages of the development life cycle. This is a position with significant opportunity for career growth.
Position Duties:
- Write and execute test plans for the application.
- Review test plans and test cases prepared by other Quality Engineers.
- Perform front-end and back-end testing for the application.
- Document defects and work with different teams including the Software Engineering Team to resolve application issues.
- Maintain application standards through adherence to software quality assurance best practices.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study.
- A minimum of three months of professional software quality assurance/testing experience, ideally in a web-based environment.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance standards.
- Experience in writing and executing test plans.
- Experience in effectively communicating test results.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, ideally in a .NET environment.
- Knowledge of relational databases, ideally SQL Server.
- Working knowledge of software testing tools such as QTP, Test Director, LoadRunner, etc is highly preferred.
