Shutterfly is looking for a QE Engineer 1, Automation, who will be responsible for creating and maintaining automation testing scripts in Selenium. He /She will also play an active role to deliver both web UI and API? level automation.The candidate will collaborate closely with development team in testing & debugging efforts to deliver high quality products.
Responsibilities:
Creating automation test scripts from scratch using Selenium in Java, converting existing php scripts to Java
Reviewing manual test cases and providing feedback on the suitability for automation to the project team
Sustaining the automation effort across releases and products.
Own and drive software quality assurance life cycle as part of SCRUM/Agile processes and deliver high quality releases on time
Conduct white box and gray box testing. Perform API level testing, debug issues find the root cause and report to development team
Be proactive and exercise flexibility. Be able to multi-task when required
Communicate QA status effectively and objectively
Qualifications:
Strong foundation on object oriented analysis and design
Strong understanding of the automation process and infrastructure
1+ year testing experience for multiple browsers for OS X and Windows - Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and automating the tests with selenium to make it compatible with all the browsers
2+ year experience with hosted platforms and Web 2.0 apps technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, LAMP, PHPUnit and JSON)
Understand and practice data-driven approach for test case design and execution
Experience working in a test environment using Continuous Integration practices
Experience with industry standard QA tools for defect tracking, test case management, and source control
Experience testing large-scale web applications running on multiple servers
Strong Analysis, Communication and Troubleshooting Skills
Work efficiently with minimal supervision
BS/MS in Computer Science
