About the job:
We're seeking talented and experienced Quality Engineers to help build the best Telecommunications API on the planet
The job focuses on test automation built out and operations to ensure Client API functionality, quality, performance and successful failover capabilities
Successful candidates will have practical production level experience shipping high-profile user-facing products, working in large code bases, and ensuring quality for secure, scalable & high availability environments
As a member of the Client API development team, lead the quality effort in focusing on reliability and test automation
Evaluate current testing infrastructure and design and implement improvements
Build automation to the next level in order to ensure Client API stack 24/7 monitoring
Develop and maintain automated test suite for the Twilio Client API stack
Continuous analysis of test results and collaboration with developers to verify changes
A Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of professional software development experience in QA with at least 2 years of testing cloud-based applications
Understanding of the protocols used in our stack: HTTP, SIP, WebRTC, RTMP, RTP, RTCP
Programming background in languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, Java, C++
Experience using VoIP tools and frameworks such as SIP servlets (JSR 289), SIPunit
Knowledge of SIP stacks such as JAIN, SIP, PJSIP is highly desirable
Work with audio/video applications is highly desirable
You've developed an app using Twilio Client API stack
You can read SIP headers like a pro
