Quality Engineering Manager- Serengeti
Serengeti Law, a Thomson Reuters business, is seeking a results-driven, team-oriented, self-motivated professional who combines exceptional technical credentials with a high degree of business acumen and proactive leadership skills for the position of Manager, Quality Engineering. This position partners closely with Serengeti Product Management, Development, IT Operations and Client Support teams. The successful candidate will ensure effective collaboration and communication on work projects between the software engineers and software test engineers. It also partners closely with the management to align overall work product objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a group of 7+ SDET and software test engineers.
- Manage aspects of off-shore engineering activities including test automation development.
- Provide career development and mentoring for staff and direction for skill improvement initiatives.
- Successfully recruit and hire the best talent for permanent and contracted positions as needed.
- Frequently communicate project and company strategies to staff members.
- Build strong relationships with other departments on common business goals demonstrating a cooperative and positive spirit.
- Provide client support team assistance for issue identification, replication and resolution as needed. Client interaction may occasionally be required.
- Recommend testing strategies that optimize product quality within budget and time constraints.
- Champion test driven development, and other initiatives to build in quality to development deliverables.
- Provide recommendations for technology use and tools used within quality.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field or relevant work experience.
- 10+ years technology development related experience, including 5+ years in a team leadership or management role.
- Well developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and configuration management including version control.
- Technology experience with: Team Foundation Server, Windows Server, SQL Server, C#, .NET, Web technologies.
- Testing experience with high availability SaaS web applications and knowledge of their technical components such as operating systems, servers, networking, security methods and browsers.
- Experience with the Agile methodology.
