SAGE is currently seeking a Quality Inspection Technician to inspect incoming materials and assist with assuring the quality of SageGlass.
The Quality Inspection Technician will provide inspection, measurement, recording and reporting of SageGlass incoming raw materials for the Quality group. This individual will also assist with inspecting the final product and assisting with tasks in the Reliability group. This individual must be comfortable with inspecting glass and other insulating glass unit (IGU) materials data and recording observations. This opening is for the weekday Day shift with the possibility of overtime.
Evaluate the quality of incoming raw materials such as glass and desiccant using visual observation and measurements
Gather and record data to be used in the quality system and for use with internal and external audits
Assist with inspecting experimental IGU test units and recording observations
Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed without direct supervision to meet deadlines
Conduct gauge repeatability measurements
Always observe safety requirements
Excellent communication skills
Attention to visual detail
Hands on experience using measurement equipment, some examples include voltmeters, calipers, and micrometer
Experience using MS Excel and data input, MS Word
Experience with quality controls and quality audits is a plus
Ability to write and update Standard Operating Procedures is desirable
High School Diploma required
