THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Mark Andy is looking for a Quality Inspection Technician that fully understands and can operate all company machinery while coordinating with other personnel to ensure high quality on each piece of equipment. The Technician must be trained and be able to operate both Press and RotoFlex equipment.
Perform the set up and technical inspections of the Press & RotoFlex Standard products
Perform the set up and technical inspections of the Press & RotoFlex Custom options
Skilled in use of calipers, feeler-gauges, and the required diagnostic equipment used in testing the Press and RotoFlex equipment
Actively uses the required technical trouble shooting practices and interfaces directly with Engineering to solve problems.
Work with Project Managers and Team Lead to ensure the test plans / spec sheets are properly documented and that all options are tested properly during the inspection cycle.
Identify and document any technical issues with the product during the technical inspection process.
Work with and assist the Final Mechanical and Electrical Assemblers to ensure issues are addressed properly and are completed with in a timely manner
Work with Team Lead and Assembly Management to move quality inspection steps as far back in the assembly process as possible, as to identify / resolve issues earlier in the build cycle.
The Technician must be able to perform the customer Press Acceptance duties on both the Press and RotoFlex equipment. This includes, but not limited to:
Meet and greet the customer in a professional manner
Explain the proper function of each item on the equipment
Demonstrate the proper functionality of the equipment during the acceptance.
Provide the customer with a positive Press Acceptance experience.
Perform the necessary Press Acceptance planning activities. This includes, but not limited to:
Preparation of all press, pre-press and Rotoflex materials
Mounting of plates and preparation of required acceptance items
Auditing of press acceptance items and materials upon arrival
After the Inspection and Acceptance is complete assist Final Assembly and Crating making sure all press / rewinder, press/rewinder pack out items, and CP items are properly organized and staged for shipment.
Ensure the equipment is properly dis-assembled electrically and mechanically before shipment.
As required by the Team Lead flex into the Final Assembly or Print Training groups to assist in the function needed.
Act as the Voice of the Customer to ensure properly tested, HIGH quality machine is shipped to the customer.
Minimum of 2 years experience in related field, preferably in quality, printing and manufacturing
Strong communication skills both verbally and written
Have thorough knowledge of the lean principles
Computer?s, with various software packages including: Microsoft Office, Email, and Oracle
