This position reports to the Quality Supervisor, and is responsible for conducting visual and measurement verification for First Article Inspections, receiving inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections and rejection of non-conforming material per specifications, written procedures, Engineering requirements, and other regulatory standards that may be applicable. This position regularly interfaces with engineering, quality and production personnel to resolve quality issues. Must be thorough and very detail- orientated with experience in reviewing Certified Materials Test Report (CMTRs) for acceptance of material procured to establish material traceability. Solid computer proficiency, QA inspection, data analyzing and document control skills are requirements of the job. Will perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities.
Performs and documents inspections of incoming parts and materials
Performs and documents first article and WVSS inspections as required
Performs and documents in-process and final inspections
Review of Supplier Documentation Certificate of Conformance (C of C), test data, documentation related for compliance for established requirements
Demonstrated knowledge and analytical skills for most types of standard inspection tools including non-contact instruments
Initiate Material Rejection Notice (MRR) for non-conforming materials to ensure proper completion of required documentation in accordance with departmental, GMP and ISO requirements

Retrieves and files parts certifications in a timely manner
Adheres to Company Quality System requirements, which includes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Departmental Procedures, Work Instructions and other applicable requirements that may arise
Verify product traceability is maintained throughout the different manufacturing cycles
Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, lost tools and unusual conditions to your supervisor.
Current knowledge of the FAA compliance requirements associated with issuance of the 8130-3 export tags, a plus
Completes work assignments within the acceptable time
Housekeeping and any additional duties as assigned.
1-3 years? visual and mechanical inspection experience
Familiar using various inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height cages, multimeters, etc.
Knowledge of quality system requirements and GMP
Able to identify, analyze and interpret data accurately
Knowledge of ESD and IPC requirements
Familiar with PCB inspection and verification requirements
Experience working in a structured organization operating in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and using controlled documents as a form of technical instructions used to manufacture, test and inspect electro-mechanical sub-components and assemblies.
Superior organization skills to establish priorities and maintain work flow
Able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
Able to create positive working relationships with internal customers to effectively complete daily tasks
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient using Microsoft Office ? Word, Excel, Outlook- to create reports, spreadsheets and charts.
The ability to work both independently and in a team-environment is essential
Punctuality and attendance as scheduled with flexibility to work extended hours as required based on business needs
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma
Medium to heavy lifting and pushing of up to 50 lbs., as required to inspect parts
Frequent standing, reaching and repetitive use of hands
