Aurora Flight Sciences is seeking an experienced, Quality Manager, to join our growing team in our Bridgeport WV facility. This position requires an action and results oriented individual who can effectively achieve demanding development and production goals. This individual must also be able to interact and communicate at all levels of the organization.
Job Qualifications (basic job description):
Role/Expectations: The role of a quality manager is to be the primary point of contact for all factory quality assurance activities associated with fabrication and assembly of advanced composites and metallic parts and assemblies. Responsible for maintaining AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) and Nadcap accreditation in composites, conversion coatings, NDI, and heat treating processes.
Specific Responsibilities:
Sustainment and improvement of AS9100 certified QMS.
Monitor and analyze customer expectations for facility capabilities, develop strategies for implementation and growth, and tactically manage to successful conclusion.
Maintain an effective IM&TE Calibration program.
Manage the internal audit program.
Develop and implement continuous improvement process that uses performance metrics. Analyze data for trends, etc. and make improvements to processes.
Manage the assignment of assurance management resources to support fabrication, assembly and delivery of products in a matrix organization.
Manage the Material Review Board (MRB).
Apply Quality Engineering principles, including statistics and predictive analysis, to conduct failure and/or preventive analysis. Evaluate new products and processes as part of design review teams.
Administer the Corrective Action Board (CAB) efficiently as part of an effective Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) program.
Establish and maintain positive customer and supplier relationships.
Support new business proposal and contract negotiations.
Maintain positive and productive working relationships with all functional resources.
Report directly to Corporate Director of Quality.
Minimum Requirements (education and experience):
B.S. degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Experienced leader with 5 years in management role in Quality and/or Quality Engineering.
Knowledge and experience in AS9100 QMS environment.
Experience in a matrix organization
Prefer composite and metallic aircraft manufacturing and assembly experience.
Proficient with MS Office suite.
MUST be a US Person or Permanent Resident Green Card Holder.
