Digital Signal Corporation is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer for their Chantilly, VA location.

The role of the Quality Systems Engineer is to ensure the establishment and maintenance of robust quality practices within Digital Signal, with the goal of optimizing consistent quality for all of DSC?s product & service offerings.
Assist in the implementation of the DSC quality assurance strategy to meet or exceed customer and market requirements.
Strengthen the company?s quality systems through the implementation of the appropriate tools required to achieve business objectives.
Ensure effective quality practices are fully integrated throughout the product life cycle.
Assist as required in the obtainment of all necessary regulatory and agency approvals toward the successful operation of business functions and sale of company products & services.
Insure the proper capture, organization, and distribution of company procedures and support documents.
Support project teams in quality activities by educating coworkers on process improvement philosophies, tools, and applications.
Support the efforts of supplier auditing & selection, MRB/RMA processes, waivers & deviations, new product introduction tollgates, and procedure audits/validations.
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
5+ years of experience in executing quality functions in similar industries.
BS in a related Technical or business field.
Proven experience in successfully implementing quality policies and procedures.
Knowledge of QA principles, procedures, tools, and process improvement methodologies (DFX/Design for Manufacturability, Kaizen events)
Experience in ISO 9001 implementation & maintenance, coordination of internal audit & corrective action programs.
Experience in the obtainment of UL, CE, & FCC certifications for products.
Hands on experience leading quality improvement projects.
Effective with conversing at all levels of the organization.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite of programs including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Access.
Proficiency in utilizing Configuration Management and ERP systems
Administration of ROHS, REACH, WEEE, and Conflict Minerals programs.
ESD control experience in Electronics industries.
Lean/Six Sigma Certification, Green or Black Belt
