Description:Overture Networks is leading the transformation to Carrier Ethernet services and infrastructure at the network edge. Starting with the broadest range of best-in-class products, we develop and manufacture efficient, high value Carrier Ethernet edge and aggregation solutions that help service providers maximize revenues. We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer who will report to the Quality Assurance Director in a fast-paced, Telecommunications equipment manufacturing environment.
Duties:This position requires ongoing interface, including international travel with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and customers. Responsibilities include: ?Address all quality issues ?Investigate quality issues uncovered by customers, by the contract manufacturers, and issues found internally ?Ensure that effective corrective actions are put in place.
Qualifications:?BS Engineering and minimum 5 years of QA Engineering experience working with on electronic products and contract manufacturers. ?Experience in Quality control in Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. ?Experience with lean manufacturing techniques. ?Knowledge of TL 9000 ?Experience driving resolution and documentation of non-conforming materials. ?Experience generating corrective action requests, investigating and closing out Corrective / Preventive Actions. ?Working knowledge of electronic and mechanical assembly. ?Excellent computer systems and MS Office skills. ?Detail-oriented team player, strong interpersonal, written and communication skills. Knowledge, Skilss & Abilities include: ?Dynamic personality, ability to promote proactive action and follow-through ?Strong analytical and problem solving skills ?Excellent presentation skills as well as oral and written communication skills to train and supervise personnel; strong desire to motivate staff to achieve results ?Knowledge or IPC Standards and TL 9000 are highly desired
