Excellent Opportunity for an Entry-Level R&D Engineer!
The R&D Engineer is responsible for supporting senior R&D engineers and scientists by identifying, generating, designing and validating scientifically-based new product concepts which will satisfy customers? requirements for the measurement of trace gases in various petrochemical applications and lead to products with clear, demonstrable, and sustainable competitive advantages.
Executing optical spectroscopy experiments using predominantly infrared and/or visible lasers in gas absorption spectroscopic applications
Supporting, researching, and generating new methods or techniques for these types of sensors/analyzers that leverage technology advances in lasers, spectroscopy, opto-electronics, photonics and gas sensing
Validating design, developing and implementing research projects to improve sensor/analyzer performance
Working with scientists and other engineers, in response to management?s general direction and marketing/sales input, to research, design and prove concept feasibility of systems for measuring trace gases in the natural gas, petrochemical and atmospheric applications
Investigating the feasibility of applying new concepts to potential inventions and products
Transferring the validated R&D concepts to the engineering development function and supporting their effort to bring the concept to the point of a tested product
Documenting the validated R&D concepts and experimental validation results
Assisting manufacturing in testing, optimizing and certifying new analyzers to be shipped to customers, as required
