We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join the Protein Purification group in the R&D department to participate in development of new biotherapeutic agents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for purification therapeutic molecules by executing a wide range of biochemical and protein chemistry techniques. In addition, the candidate will be involved in characterizatin of protein-protein interactions and mechanisms of action of drug candidates.
Qualified candidate will have a B.S. or M.S. degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or related fields and have 3-5 years of research experience in protein purification and characterization including: affinity, IE, HIC, SEC, and rpHPLC chromatography, Western Blots, SDS-PAGE, and IEF. In depth understanding of biocheical and biophysical properties of proteins is necessary. Efficient time management and ability to work on several projects simultaneously are essential. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with members of the Research and Development team is a must.
