Freescale's Analog and Sensors Group (ASG) has more than 25 years of experience serving the automotive, industrial, and consumer markets. The Millimeter Wave (MMW) Test Engineer will be part of a team of highly skilled engineering/technical personnel in the development, implementation, and support of automatic test equipment, integrated circuit test development, and new-product development activities supporting MMICs for the automotive and industrial markets.
Candidate will be responsible for working as part of the test engineering team in developing test capability for wafer probe and final test of highly complex millimeter wave circuits.
The MMW Test Engineer will:
Partner with product design engineering from the product concept phase all the way through integration into high volume manufacturing to assure development of a testable product architecture that balances production cost and product complexity.
Define and implement robust IC test development and IC test validation methodologies that support zero defect product escape objectives.
Set priorities and schedules related to assigned MMW products based on business and technical objectives.
Responsible for test method development, test program development, equipment calibration and correlation, and measurement methodologies in direct support of new product development and support of existing products in production
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the individuals on the Test Engineering team.
Identify, evaluate, and act on technical and schedule risks to minimize or avoid potential problems.
Participate in cross-functional teams in vendor test-equipment engineering evaluations and purchase recommendations, test development, industrialization and continual improvement activities.

BSEE, MSEE preferred
6+ years Test Engineering experience in an RF or millimeter wave IC or application environment
5 Years experience driving industrialization of high volume, RF products through development, characterization, qualification, and production ramp.
Previous experience and an understanding of circuit design, engineering and industrialization of high frequency circuits, analog circuits, mixed signal and digital circuits is required
Highly skilled in semiconductor ATE platforms, software coding, hardware design and construction is required. Direct experience with ROOS or Advantest Portscale Tester is a plus.
Proven record of effectively implementing built-in test capabilities on chip. Familiarity with on chip DFT techniques (digital scan, analog muxing, on-chip analog monitors, etc)
