Bartlett is currently recruiting for a Rad Engineer in Festus, MO. Location: Festus, MO
General Duties:
This individual will be responsible for:
?Performing technical evaluations associated with operational health physics, internal and external dosimetry, instrumentation, and environmental monitoring
?Preparing procedures that clearly define the requirements for implementing the radiation protection program, and the program for the final status survey of soil and buildings
?Preparing data collection packages and data summary reports for the information compiled during the final status survey
?Overseeing and directing the activities of health physics personnel during the conduct of radiological surveys and sampling to support final status survey
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Physics, Physical Science, or Engineering
Minimum Experience: 8 years experience in an operational health physics program, a portion of experience should have been in a health physics program at a uranium processing or fuel cycle facility.
Experience at facilities licensed by the USNRC.
Experience on projects involving the remediation of radioactively contaminated soil.
Desired Education:Master of Science Degree in Health Physics
Desired Qualification: Certification by the NRRPT and/or the ABHP
Physical Requirements:
?Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time in extreme temperature conditions;
?Physical agility to walk/work on newly-excavated soil surfaces;
?Visual acuity of 20/40;
?Ability to meet the requirements specified by the pre-employment physical examination.
Also:
Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Access
Good verbal and written communication skills
