THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We are hiring for a Lead Music Programmer within the 7digital business unit. In this role you will lead the global music programming efforts in the direct to consumer retail and upcoming streaming services including 7digital.com and various mobile applications.
Manage the overall strategy and team member implementation for selecting music content to feature via programs and promotions to end customers. You will bring extensive experience in merchandising or programming for an online commerce business, a fanatical devotion to user experience and a track record of beating traffic, conversion and revenue goals.
This role will report to the SVP of Music.
?Set team-wide music programming strategies and key benchmarks for success
?To lead and manage the global music programming team in their duties supporting their ability to achieve departmental objectives within agreed parameters
?Drive strategy for cross territory music partner co-promotion opportunities; work with music partners to secure exclusive products/bundles/pricing
?Own promotional pricing strategy and performance analysis for digital content
?Analyse internal data, market research and industry trends to select products to promote and execute programming via internal tools
?Coordinate with internal and external teams to launch effective store content and promotions.
?Conduct metrics-based analyses of campaigns and provide recommendations for enhancing their effectiveness
?Support music partner and technical teams to troubleshoot customer-facing issues.
?Contribute to 7digital?s consumer efforts to drive service improvements and innovative features on behalf of users worldwide including providing requirements for new platform-level promotional capabilities
?To support Music Partnerships on commercial matters with record companies and distributors.
?To work closely with 7digital?s marketing team to set and execute strategy for execution of promotional initiatives, consumer marketing, communications and social media for the 7digital-Direct services.
?To formulate and achieve agreed departmental objectives, KPI?s and targets within framework of 7digital?s overall company strategy
?Understand 7digital?s music industry position and capabilities
?Attend and represent 7digital at music industry events
?Be a team player across all facets of building the global 7digital-Direct business and be willing to help shape our organization
?BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
?3 years? experience in a programming or retail role for an online commerce or content business
Skills & Experience
?Passionate about music with strong understanding of digital landscape, music rights and music formats including high resolution codecs
?Established network of contacts across record companies and distributors in key territories
?Experience working with music industry partners to develop co-promotion or cross-promotion strategies and campaigns
?Knowledge of and experience with music programming and merchandising best practices; ability to advise on strategies and product requirements to enhance platform-level capabilities.
?Good leadership and people management skills, with ability to both nurture creativity and drive operational process and discipline
?Excellent all round communication skills both written and verbal with all levels of internal and external relationships
?Collaborative, team player, ability to form good relationships with colleagues at all levels (internally & externally)
?Strong analytical skills; ability to analyse research or performance data and apply that analysis to optimize strategy
?Capable of working well under pressure with strong attention to detail
