Real Time Systems Engineer Uber
Design, develop, and test a complex and rapidly evolving real-time logistics systems architecture for on-demand transportation applications. Specific duties include: designing, implementing, testing, deploying and supporting critical real- time computer systems, architectures, and components that must be scalable, reliable, continuously operated and monitored; managing and deploying a large number of computing environments and platforms in order to increase efficiency and reliability of systems, including Linux, iPhone mobile applications, and Amazon Web Services; transitioning and deploying critical components between servers/data centers through the use of effective planning and error-free scripting; ensuring experienced oversight is given to critical sections of code being developed by the product, science, and back-end software teams; supporting highly technical scientific teams in bringing their ideas and implementations to a production ready state; and assisting in hiring candidates within the technical operations, development and science and math teams. Education: Master?s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or the equivalent.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or similar software development position.
Other Requirements: Professional experience must include experience with: computational simulation systems; and optimization and implementation of complex algorithms.
