Job Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for following inspection and manufacturing documentation to inspect components and assemblies used to manufacture medical devices.
- Responsible for in-process inspections and release of assembled medical devices.
- Responsible for completing manufacturing and inspection documentation.
- Responsible for completing inspections on schedule in a timely manner.
- Responsible for documenting and notifying supervisor and engineering of product discrepancies.
- Responsible for follow up on NCMR report closure.
- Responsible for maintaining the data for RI matrix.
- Responsible for maintain training current to new revision.
- Responsible for following cGMP and ISO requirements.
- Responsible for assisting with inventory moves within receiving inspection, MRB and tracking traceability as needed.
- Maintain the receiving work area documentation and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Assist the supervisor as required to support calibration activities, including recalls and maintenance of calibration files.
- Responsible to create and/or maintain all paperwork associated with all responsibilities.
- Responsible for maintaining a professional company image and attitude toward those inside and outside the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- ISO and cGMP audit training and experience preferred.
- Ability to use and understand statistical sampling plans.
- Ability to use and understand geometrical dimensional tolerancing.
- Ability to read and understand detailed instructions, inspection and manufacturing procedures and drawings.
- Capability to work in a clean room environment and wear appropriate gowns, hair nets and gloves.
- Ability to use precision measuring devices such as calipers, pin gauges, optical comparator.
- Manual dexterity and hand- eye coordination needed to inspect medical devices.
- Ability to perform unaided and microscopic visual inspection.
- Some lifting to 30 lbs.
- Capability to use equipment such as microscope, soldering iron, mechanical and electrical assembly tooling & fixtures, adhesive dispenser, tweezers, crimpers, cutters and hand tools.
- Good teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills. A demonstrated commitment to company values.
- Experience with medical electronics manufacturing is desired.
Required Experience
- Minimum High school degree or equivalent. Additional training in inspection techniques required.
- Minimum 3 years experience in medical device receiving and assembly inspection. (5 years preferable)
