Responsible for front door security procedures, receiving and directing visitors, applicants, vendors, customers, etc. to appropriate individuals. Responsible for responding to calls on main switchboard. Processes outgoing and incoming mail and coordinates delivery functions. Assists with recruiting by scheduling interviews with candidates and processing employment verifications. Supports the new hire process by compiling Offer Packets and New Hire Packets and generates employee ID cards. Updates phone rosters. Schedules 90-day and 9-month new employee meetings. Provides clerical support to Human Resources and other departments as requested.
Education and Experience:
Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year office experience with some reception work. Prefer two years related experience, with some exposure to scheduling and detailed administrative work.
Computer skills to include word processing, e-mail programs and data entry.
Strong verbal communication skills both by phone and in person are required in daily contact.
Must be able to operate a variety of automated office equipment, including a multi-line telephone, fax and mail equipment.
Professional demeanor required as this is often the first Quidel person people meet.
Ability to handle multiple tasks easily.
Ability to handle confidential information is required
Normal office environment.
Involves occasional lifting of mail bins (up to 30 lbs.).
