Recruiting and Employee Relations Manager BioEnergy International
Summary
This role is a blend of recruiting and human resources responsibilities, and the ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, energy, and enthusiasm. Recruiting responsibilities include filling open positions, proactive pipeline building for future roles as well as project work to streamline and upgrade recruiting processes. An additional focus of this role is project work within HR functional areas of training, organizational development and employee relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
RECRUITING
Manages recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, interns, and temporary employees
Meets with Hiring Managers to determine job description, expectations and recruiting strategy
Develops Internship program and establishes a pipeline of selected colleges
Reviews resumes and performs telephone interviews and background checks
Develops sourcing methods using social media and other creative methods to build and sustain a Talent pool for the organization
Refines staffing process, candidate tracking and reporting
Writes and places advertisements to cultivate candidates and brand Myriant as a Best in Class Employer
Conducts new-employee orientations
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
Serves as HR point of contact and Business Partner for the organization
Provides Employee relations counseling
Partner with management to create a positive working environment where employees feel valued, respected and empowered to perform at their best
Consult with employees and managers on employee relations issues to ensure that all parties are aware of both company policies and labor laws
Monitor employee moral through individual relationships
Provides Outplacement counseling and exit interviewing along with processing all terminations (to include collection of exit interviews, equipment, final paycheck, etc.)
Analyze data (e.g. exit interview feedback), identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee satisfaction, performance and retention
Partners with others in HR to develop, rollout and track programs and processes i.e. Performance Management, Career Path, Recognition Program
Creates and defines job descriptions
In depth knowledge of labor laws, equal employment and affirmative action programs and regulations, ADA, FMLA, FSLA, etc.
Manages Immigration and VISA process
Develops and maintains Corporate and HR procedures, policies, employee files, Employee Handbook and other HR related materials
Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures
Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations
Assists in developing and delivering Employee Training programs
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Develop and deliver training sessions as needed
Education and/or Experience
A bachelor's degree and seven (7) years' Human Resources experience
Demonstrated experience with high volume recruiting and HR generalist experience
A master's degree highly preferred
Any appropriate combination of education and experience
Excellent organizational, customer service skills and written and verbal communication skills, intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and/or Access, intermediate Internet skills for both the Web and Email
Working knowledge of Federal and State laws relating to the ADA, FMLA, and worker's compensation
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) required
Must be able to do presentations before groups of 10-15 people
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to excellent customer service
