Recruiting Manager Redfin
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED
Redfin needs a leader to take our current recruiting shop to the next level. This company is a recruiter?s dream. In a sales-driven industry, we tell our employees to do the right thing. In a dog-eat-dog world, we want to create a caring culture. Where other brokerages churn-and-burn through contractors without benefits or career growth, Redfin insists on both. We have a team in place, we just need you to shape the recruiting org this next year and beyond.
What you should bring to the table:
Strategic: you have a vision and can communicate that clearly. You?re passionate about what you know but open to feedback from your team and hiring managers. At the end of the day, you have a pulse on what needs to happen to hit our crazy staffing goals as well as keep your team engaged and happy.
Creative: status quo doesn?t work for this group nor should it. You think outside the box and you?re not afraid to take thoughtful risks. You realize that you can?t take a one-size fits all approach to recruitment and don?t want to. You learn from your mistakes and have a flair for the unexpected.
Analytical: Numbers are your friends. You like metrics and love what they tell you about how to improve your business and where to spend a little more of your time and attention. You are able to translate numbers into action.
Programmatic: you know how to build programs at scale, for recruiting from college and professional ranks. You?ve run recruiting events, developed referral incentives, created recruiting advertisements and fliers, rotated candidates through site visits, and trained managers to screen candidates. You?ve lead multi-location teams and set direction for company recruitment efforts all the while compiling some serious competitive intelligence. Leadership is your thing. Pipelines and process are your friends. Candidate experience is your passion.
Resourceful: anyone can post an ad to Craigslist. But you know how to search LinkedIn, work the phones, and dig for referrals to find the super-stars who didn?t even know they were looking for a job. You can be delicate when the situation calls for it, but you?ve also got the chutzpah to email anybody.
Partner: you can work with anyone in any business group. You build effective sourcing strategies with your shop and understand how to manage expectations genuinely. You have a deep understanding of workforce planning and can assist your team in setting those goals.
Here?s what you?ll do:
Build programs and keep things moving: we need a hunter and a farmer, someone who can pick off a rock-star as well as build a college recruiting program to bring on dozens of people at scale. Someone who understands the business of recruiting, from budgets to target setting, and can mold it to our needs.
Grow the team: We have a team. A strong one that has the potential to double in size. We need you to come and lead them to greatness.
Manage the pipeline: you?ll have a lot of candidates to manage, you?ll need to be pro-active about keeping things organized, militant about procedure, and reliable on follow-through.
Rap with hiring managers: you have to build rapport with hiring managers so you know what they want and they trust your judgment.
Help find candidates: some people want to build programs and manage others without ever picking up the phone themselves. That isn?t you. When needed, you can step in and make magic happen. At Redfin, everybody sweeps the floors.
Requirements:
Experience: agency AND corporate experience preferred, with a history of results & excellent performance.
Command: you?ve led a recruiting team and know how to guide and inspire a team to storm the hill.
Smarts: you?ve got a college degree, can communicate & write well and are sharp as a tack at grasping new things.
Tech-chops: you?ve got this internet thing dialed, are familiar with online recruiting methods, blogging & forums.
