The Position
Reporting to the VP Worldwide Sales, the Regional Account Manager will execute enterprise level sales strategy, initiate contact with existing and potential enterprise customers, identify customer needs and sell appropriate solutions to meet those needs.
Generate and develop new business to meet specified production goals.
Maintain and nurture existing client relationships.
Negotiate contracts and work agreements.
Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, tracking work as specified by manager.
Participate in important business/trade events that impact business unit.
Promote company endorsed programs and services within assigned territory.
Meet and/or exceed predetermined Sales objectives and pipeline development objectives.
Manage all aspect of client relations. Be responsible for the complete sales cycle.
Responsible for reporting sales activity to Management in accordance with set requirements and tools. Make recommendations where appropriate for: Sales (budgeting, forecasting and actuals) customer satisfaction, management objectives, and other measureables.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have spent 10+ years in various market-facing roles (predominantly, roles with enterprise services leadership responsibility) with both a well-established as well as early-stage software vendors, bringing a strong, experience-based understanding of strategic account development.
Specific qualities sought after include:
A player. A natural hunter with ten years? Enterprise Sales experience in senior consultative sales positions within Technology, Security or similar environment. Security experience is a big plus. Significant experience in selling complex technology (ideally software and/or a total solution based product portfolio).
Experience closing sales with Global 2000 or larger companies and C level executives is required.
Commitment to excellence and high standards. Able to prove success, consistent overachievment of established quotas.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proven leadership and business acumen skills. Strong interpersonal skills and presence is vital. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels.
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups.
Able to effectively prepare, justify and communicate sales forecasting and delivery measurables.
Possess thorough knowledge of industry/local competition/business climate and product information.
