Regional Account Manager MegaPath

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Enterprise Regional Account Manager is a direct sales position responsible for generating incremental revenue and profit margin for MegaPath by driving Managed IP Service sales to Enterprise Businesses in the region. This is a position for a highly motivated individual who couples sales skills with an understanding of IP Services and the ability to effectively present and sell to sophisticated IT management at our prospective customers. The Regional Account Manager is provided support by a sales engineer, an enterprise lead generation rep and a project manager.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in a networking sales role preferably with a Managed VPN Service Provider or related security or network services business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead qualification, customer needs assessment and closing of identified opportunities
- Maintain a strong sales funnel with multiple opportunities throughout the sales cycle each month.
- Prepare quotes and proposals and make presentations to customers.
- Establish and maintain a working knowledge of current and new products and services across the MegaPath product range, keep up to date with new features and releases
- Work both directly with prospects and also in conjunction with partners on referred leads from the channel partner program to close sales
- Accurately forecast opportunities and log activities on a daily basis in the sales funnel in Salesforce.com
- Meet target activity levels for calls, meetings, quotes and new opportunities added to the sales funnel each month.
- Close sales at and above assigned quotas and goals
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree
- 5 plus years of outside sales experience with a demonstrated successful track record in telecommunications, data technology, and/or hi-tech environment(s).
- Demonstrated track record of successfully selling services or conceptual products to Enterprise organizations (Companies >50 Million revenue & >1,000 employees).
- Sales experience should be in a geographic market that the individual has strong relationships and can begin conversations based on those relationships with at least 6 enterprise level opportunities within 60 days of joining the company.
- Previous experience selling to Senior Level customers (CEO, CIO, CFO, VP MIS, Director IS/IT) is necessary for success in this role.
- Track record of success in selling broadband Managed VPN a plus
- Experience of using Salesforce.com on a daily basis in a sales role is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills are a must
- Possess a broad-based technological awareness, ideally with knowledge of data networking concepts, services and hardware
- Specifically helpful to have strong knowledge of the broadband industry and technology, Managed Network Services, MPLS VPN, IPSec VPN and SSL VPN networking, QoS, network security services, maintenance and support services.
- Knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) is a plus
- Experience of coordinating with internal resources needed to close deals in an efficient manner.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to produce in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Proficiency in PC software applications, including MS Word, Excel and Power Point is required.
- Knowledge of contacts in the retail, quick-serve restaurant, or point-of sale industry a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant use of keyboard and mouse.
- Near constant phone use.
- Travel up to 50 of time

Ability to work effectively from a home office environment, be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal direction.
