The unhotel ? it?s the most exciting innovation in upscale travel for decades, and now it needs a Regional Account Manager ? someone who knows the lay of the land in field sales, and can confidently stride out to forge relationships with travel agents and seal the deals.
Lots of the legwork is already done, just read the headlines ? onefinestay has redefined the city stay experience. Guests live like a local by staying in a distinctive home while the owner is out of town, and they get a service which offers all the convenience and creature comforts of a high-end hotel. Our creation has grown into a truly compelling business. Now we?re making real money, and serving real guests in London and New York, we?re ready for the next stage of our journey ? it turns out that onefinestay has quite a taste for exploration.
We want an intrepid Regional Account Manager ? a skilled Field Sales scout, someone who can pioneer our campaign to reach out to the travel community in their region, leaving no rock unturned and no path untried. You?ll have to integrate into a small team, and then show your contacts at travel agencies and corporates the way along this new, alternative, exciting road.
That?s right, we?re expecting you to offer us a wealth of experience, and a bounty of contacts. But in return, you?ll be an integral part of the worldwide sales team, working closely with JC (that's John Clarke) to define strategy for your region. You?ll be one of our very first guides in new territory.
Responsibilities
Build, lead and develop a network of agents in your designated region
Define the strategy for your sales region with the Head of Worldwide Sales
Develop and manage relationships with leisure travel agencies
Design, organize and host a program of familiarization visits for the leisure travel trade
Work with our reservations and guest services teams to ensure high quality of service to partners and their clients
Own your goals, whether that?s revenue and market share, or customer satisfaction and loyalty
Experience and Skills
You know the upscale hotel sales world like the back of your hand, and will have spent a minimum of two years working in a field sales role for one of the best hotels in the market
You have good experience working with sole agents and agencies.
You?re a people person, through and through. You either built or you grew your current account base, and you manage them like a true pro. You know how to engage and motivate yourself and your clients to come from behind and beat their numbers.
You?re an exemplary brand ambassador ? even if sometimes you are on the other side of the world
You?ve got a rolodex of regional contacts across the travel industry, from which you could fill your calendar for months with lunches, coffees and general schmoozing
A full, clean driving license
Additional languages would be sehr gut, but not essential

You love traveling, and are happy to live out of a suitcase if that?s what it takes ? especially in the early months as you?re making the first few key local hires

You?re tenacious, persistent and thick-skinned
You?re always well-presented and a stickler for great service and a connoisseur of luxury products
You?re doing a great job where you are, but now you have a burning passion to do it in a buzzing, young and flourishing start-up environment
