Regional Business Director (Req #215) OptiMedica
The Regional Business Director (Req #215) plays a critical part in the long-term success of OptiMedica. In this position, you will drive maximum life-time customer value?a vital part of our continued success. You will become the owner of a group of customers for whom you?ll manage retention, customer satisfaction, and add-on sales. As an Account Manager, you will leverage efforts from the Regional Sales Director and continue that relationship with new and existing customers with customer-first values. While your efforts will concentrate on post-sale support and increasing volume and adoption, you will also be tasked with developing new business and new customers for OptiMedica.
Candidates should be results-oriented, possess outstanding customer facing skills, organization, follow-up, and technical acumen. The ideal candidate likes to work with external customers and cross functionally with other teams in OptiMedica.
We are looking for candidates in specific areas to support different sales territories ? Northeast and West.

Work closely with Regional Sales Directors to maximize efforts to identify new customers, maintain existing customers, address outstanding customer needs and provide feedback for improvement
Deliver proactive customer contact strategy to drive adoption of Catalys, measured by customer orders for LOI interfaces and customer feedback
Increase customer satisfaction by understanding the business needs of the customers you support, identify weakness, offer solutions and ensure communication throughout the team
Act as an escalation point; document issues and work with other functional groups within the organization to resolve them
Monitor and track expected vs. actual product usage
Forecast additional sales for assigned accounts
Provide overflow support for Clinical Applications (training)
Attend Trade Shows and meetings like AAO, ASCRS, etc throughout the year
Proven track record with a minimum of 3 years of medical device sales. A huge plus if you have knowledge of/experience in ophthalmology
Experience maintaining outstanding external customer relationships
You should be accomplished on the computer with excellent communication and organizational skills
PowerPoint and presentation skills are essential
Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and pro forma templates necessary for success
Solid communication, listening and writing skills
Excellent understanding of the ophthalmology space or other complex capital equipment medical devices
Organized and reliable: able to work independently with little direction when necessary
Understand travel is an essential element of this job
Bachelor?s degree or related equivalent of work experience
