Manage sales activities in assigned district. May include a personal sales quota combined with management of a number of Account Executives and Sales Engineers.
This position is a field sales position with direct management responsibility and requires frequent travel and extensive customer interaction. This is a great opportunity to join an emerging storage vendor and contribute immediately.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Analyze sales statistics for region. Develop and implement sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations for region to develop and enhance team skills and performance.
Direct channel and strategic relations development activity and coordinate sales distribution by accelerating and exceeding region sales, quotas, and goals.
Manage product and service pricing for the region
Assign sales territory to sales representatives.
Represent company at trade association meetings to promote product.
Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
Meet with key clients, assist sales team in maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
Manage region sales activity in line with Xiotech?s CRM, including accurate forecasting, revenue and inventory management, and cross-functional communication.
Coordinate liaison between region and regional sales function and other company units.
Analyze and control expenditures of region to conform to regional and company budgetary requirements.
Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
Directly supervise sales and pre-sales team
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three to five years? experience in computer and/or software direct sales.
Three or more years? experience in sales management.
Directly supervises two to six direct sales employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
