We are seeking an outstanding sales candidate to be our Regional Director covering the South Florida region. This position is central to the success of our sales programs and our middle school and high school product initiatives in the region. In this highly visible position, you will work with our existing and potential customers and also with colleagues in all departments throughout our company.
Responsibilities
Sales
Work with customers, potential customers and your regional team in all facets of the sales and implementation process for our products.
Attain the sales objectives, maintain expense controls and reach profit objectives as established for the region.
Collect, interpret and provide market, customer contact and competitive information to the company in a timely manner.
Develop solution strategies, action plans and direct implementation for key district accounts
Ability to create and customize complex, multi-faceted, cost proposals
Focus on increasing sales of blended mathematics curriculum and professional development services within the region
Act as a leading member of the focus team that will design and execute the action plan from start to finish by attending planning meetings, making sales calls site visits, entertaining and attending presentations.
Strategic Geographic Marketing
Work with Marketing Director to develop state-based campaigns and plan for state-wide adoption
Create new partnerships and monitor existing ones with professional organizations, local and state agencies
Provide knowledge and insights into national and regional product development, marketing and sales strategies
Work with Regional Vice President on budgetary and forecasting responsibilities related to the region and the state-wide adoption
Leadership &Teamwork
Works with Sr. Manager of School Partnerships, Managers of School Partnerships, Regional Account Managers, and Consultants to develop relationships in territory focus districts.
Work strategically with assigned Client Management Representative (Inside Sales) for designated territory.
Work with Regional Vice President interviewing and hiring new regional staff to include Managers of School Partnerships, Regional Account Managers, and Consultants
Work to resolve customer issues by being a liaison between the region and Pittsburgh
Requirements
Master?s or Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Marketing or relate field
Outstanding, proven sales track record in the educational publishing market place including experience in successfully winning business in state-wide adoption & successfully executing complex multi-million dollar solutions
Focused, disciplined and has the sales skills to help ?close? business
Excellent presentation skills and sales and customer service demeanor
Ability to communicate effectively with top-level district leadership
Extensive knowledge of Florida math education market including standards, adoption process, key players, key districts, and more
Strong state-wide adoption background
Strong professional development background
Strong technology background
Proven ability to work effectively with and leading teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the geographic territory
Resides in or near Miami-Dade County, FL
Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
