Your Role:
The Regional Event Manager is responsible for leading the Event Management efforts of BidPal events in the Mid-Atlantic Region (Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia.) The work environment is client-focused and fast paced. A successful Regional Event Manager operates efficiently in this climate, maintains composure, demonstrates leadership through maturity and communicates well with all constituents.
Responsibilities:
Recruiting/Training Staff
Full cycle recruiting, training, evaluating and coaching local event managers.
Area staff management ? optimizing the performance of needed part time employees/contractors.
Travel to necessary events in order to oversee & evaluate event staff.
Assign Corporate Event Managers to upcoming events as needed.
Coordinate with Central, Eastern, New York, and Western Regional Event Managers that all events are effectively staffed.
Generate working relationship with national staffing partner as the BidPal Team Lead to ensure events are sufficiently and successfully staffed in advance for event execution. Monitor staffing and address issues as they arise.
Assist with overall Event Management payroll and expenses where needed
Event Execution
Execute BidPal events in the region as needed with attention to Telesales markets, including on-site execution and post-event review.
Participate in customer conference calls when necessary.
Interface with Site Survey Leads ensuring they are on track with the venue and the client.
Assist with equipment upgrade requests as necessary with Sales & Operations.
Work in conjunction with Sales & Operations to manage venue relationships, solve pre-event and post-event concerns, and create positive tech vendor relationships.
Resolve pre- and post-event issues with clients, venues and vendors, with the goal of maximizing client satisfaction and BidPal brand reputation.
Provide/review event feedback, to identify issues, trends, helping to bring ongoing innovation and efficiency to BidPal technology, training, and best practices.
Sales
Assist with lead generation & handling of new client web and/or phone leads, as needed
Attend sales trade shows and seminars, as needed
Qualifications:
Education Requirements: BS/BA required.
Other Requirements:
Experience/knowledge with charitable fundraising events
Flexibility for travel and weekend work
3 ? 5 years? work experience in General Management or Events required
Experience in managing staff in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage employees and external event volunteers
Strong leadership skills
Passion for Customer Experience
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
Exceptional relationship management skills
Exceptional communication skills: written, verbal and interpersonal
Highly organized with the ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Works well in a team environment
