Gene Security Network (GSN) is a molecular diagnostics company that has developed a proprietary technology to analyze tiny quantities of DNA - as small as that from a single cell. GSN operates a CLIA certified laboratory providing genetic testing across several indications pertinent to reproductive health. GSN has developed a highly accurate non invasive diagnostic test for Down Syndrome and other genetic abnormalities which is far superior to the current standard of care. The team consists of 50 statisticians, geneticists, doctors, laboratory technicians and software engineers from top-tier universities. Our technology has been funded by six grants from the National Institute of Health, partner IVF centers, the healthcare-focused venture capital firm Claremont Creek Ventures, and the renowned Sequoia Venture Capital. GSN is currently offering clinical service to Ob/Gyn, MFM and IVF clinics in North America, South America, Europe and Africa.
Job Description
The Regional Sales Director ensures that all sales and management objectives are met and exceeded
Job Responsibilities:
--Develop and execute plans to ensure rapid distribution of all products.
--Develop business plans based on sales goals, expectations and available resources, including regional strategies and tactics.
--Be an expert in the clinical data.
--The position includes recruiting, selecting, hiring and coordinating the training of all sales professionals within the Eastern or Western United States.
--Effectively provide constructive feedback to sales professionals in order to help maximize their potential.
--Spend a sufficient amount of time, as defined by the VP, in the field with sales professionals in order to help them develop, as well as provide direction and feedback.
--Field time should also provide a way for the Director of Sales to learn and assess current market trends.
--Provide direction based on field input, market assessments and trends in order to develop a region which is consistently implementing "Best Practices".
--Plan, design and implement territory alignment based on maximum ROI.
--Support sales professionals by providing guidance and career development.
--Establish positive working relationships with all key customer segments (internal and external).
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
--Minimum three years physician sales experience in diagnostic laboratory business (preferably in a genetics laboratory)
--Minimum of 5 years sales documented, successful field management experience preferably in diagnostic laboratory business.
--Proven track record of success in leading a team of sales people to develop new markets, launch new products and increase revenue quickly.
--Award winning management track record.
--Background in medical or biological sciences (clinical diagnostics preferred).
--Market knowledge and experience in reproductive health preferred.
--Effective time management skills required
--Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
--Team oriented
--Documented Track Record of Sales Success as defined by exceeding goals
--Excellent Coach, and is coachable
--Excellent initiative and self motivation
--The ability to effectively maneuver through complex situations, internal and external.
--Creative problem solver.
