Summary:
Responsible for managing a defined list of Service Provider accounts, acting as a Subject Matter Expert to the SafeNet ecosystem managing Service Provider accounts outside of the defined list, and maximizing revenue for the company. Tasked with creating, developing and executing sales strategies for the defined accounts as well as generating accurate and realistic sales forecasts. The SPSM is expected to deliver consistent revenue performance and growth, and will need to opportunistically look at the market for breakout revenue opportunities.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in related field
Experience:
5+ years of sales experience in IT industries, at least 3 years at major account sales, and experience with specific Service Providers is preferable.
Strong background in hardware and software security-based solutions, with experience working directly with solutions provided as-a-Service to and through Service Providers.
Experience in managing all aspects of the sales cycle including prospecting, development of the customer relationship at all levels and the implementation of account plans.
Experience in working with multi-element revenue models which include both one time and recurring revenue streams and multiple solution offerings.
Skills:
Capable of closing complicated deals from discovering sales opportunities to contract completion.
Maintaining and growing existing relationships.
Comfortable being a leader in highly technical and business-oriented discussions.
Able to collaboratively work with the extended Sales ecosystem (peers, direct sales, channel sales, business development, sales engineers) to ensure that commercial goals are achieved within territory.
Sales driven with strong track record of closing large, strategic transactions with Service Providers.
Ability to communicate with senior management, internally and externally, for sales and new product launches.
Excellent communications and presentation skills.
Strong marketing sense and vision.
Ability to thrive under pressure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Sales
Manages, develops and grows strategic Service Provider relationships, including justification of as-a-service offerings, evaluation and recommendation of Safe Net?s offerings, procurement and testing of the solution, and assisting the Service Provider and their team to successfully represent and sell the offering to their customers.
Identifies, qualifies and quantifies all opportunities within the assigned accounts, and leads sales effort in accounts outside of those assigned by collaborating and cooperating with the extended sales team
Develops and delivers accurate and technically correct sales presentations to potential customers
Manages all aspects of the sales cycle including prospecting, development of the customer relationship at all levels and the implementation of the account plans
Delivers on set objectives to achieve revenue and growth targets
Works with sales support staff, pre and post sales staff to further customer relationships forecast, track territory opportunities, and close the deal
Other duties as assigned
Managing and documenting territory activity and progress using Salesforce.com
Providing appropriate information regarding face-to-face activities, proof-of-concepts/evaluations with customers, proposals/price quotes and contract negotiations;
Enlisting the involvement of SafeNet management and executives when necessary.
