Regional Sales Manager International Catastrophe Insurance

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the implementation of the Company?s strategic sales and marketing goals. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for agency and producer management, driving production from assigned producers and gathering and conveying market research and intelligence. The Regional Sales Manager provides production, quality and service support to the Regional Executive Officer.
Responsible for developing, appointing and managing independent producers within the region to achieve the company business plan
Primary point of contact for assigned producer and his/or her agency personnel.
Trains producers to successfully sell ICAT?s Residential earthquake including identification of appropriate business opportunities, underwriting guidelines and procedures, website use and service.
Responsible for monitoring production, hit ratios, renewal retention ratios, spread of risk, and other production and quality measures.
Possesses a complete knowledge of ICAT?s Residential Earthquake product
Develops and implements effective agency management plans.
Production and Underwriting
Responsible for driving new and renewal premium for assigned producers and/or accounts in the ICAT Residential Earthquake program
Works with the team to establish regional production budgets and assist in agency development.
Works with the team to manage regional underwriting results including regional modeled results, spread of risk initiatives, and concentration of risk controls.
Market Research and Intelligence
Gathers market data for new markets, products, and or segments and works with the Regional Executive Officer to identify new production opportunities and track competitor activity.
Gathers and reports information through visit reports, team briefings and market updates for the underwriting personnel.
Mentors less experienced underwriting personnel on market conditions, competitors, relationship management, etc.
Ensure the delivery of high quality customer service internally and externally.
Other duties as assigned.
Works under the general supervision of the Regional Executive Officer. This position does not supervise other personnel.

A minimum of three to five years insurance industry or field sales experience. Experience in Field Sales and Marketing or an in-depth understanding of the California retail insurance market strongly preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Business, Insurance, or related field or equivalent experience.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Work Demands
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Able to travel for extended period daily via car or airplane; must have drivers license and unrestricted availability to driv
Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Mental Work Demands
Regular and on-time attendance.
Hours occasionally exceed 40 hours per week.
