Regional Sales Manager Starboard Storage

The Regional Sales Manager will be required to build and manage a sales territory consisting of VAR?s and resellers who identify and close prospective customers of Starboard Storage Systems.
The Regional Sales Manager must be comfortable selling storage solutions to all levels of any organization. Starboard considers this to be a ?High Activity? position that uses consultative sales techniques, training and tools to provide the Regional Sales Manager with every opportunity for success.
Provides leadership to regional team with the utmost in accountability and ownership for the team?s success.
This position reports to the SVP Sales.
Essential Duties &Responsibilities
Responsible for New Business Development leveraging resellers as Starboard is a Channel only sales model.
Work to develop a location ecosystem of partners, VAR?s, resellers and distribution,cooperatively identifying and closing Starboard Storage opportunities.
Build a territory plan identifying installed base, prospective customers, existing VAR relationships, and target VAR relationships.
Conduct 15-20 sales calls per week involving either recruiting a VAR, enabling a VAR, customer calls with a VAR or identifying needs of a prospective customer.
Meet and exceed quarterly and annually assigned sales goals.
Work in cooperation with assigned inside sales rep and outside storage architect to identify customers,recruit and enable VAR?s to close new business.
Sell a full range of Starboard Storage products, supplies and services; requires consultative-selling skills.
Manage client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle ideally with the VAR.
Provide a consultative solutions sales process to prospects.
Conducts one-on-one and group sales presentations.
Provide account management to an existing territory.
Responsible for tracking customer information, forecasts and reports.
Develop and maintain prospect and customer list based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads in SFDC.

Must be a self-starter
Must be able to demonstrate sales record (3+ years) at a high level of achievement
Ability to leverage Microsoft suite of products to create and present client/VAR proposals
Strong understanding and experience with channel only sales models
Solutions-selling experience in any one or all of the following areas: hardware, software, or other technical product
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) in business, marketing and sales or related field of study
Analytical skill set,strong presentation skills, ability to interact with any level within an organization
Ability to self-motivate and multi-task and work independently or within a team
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
Travel
Travel required for prospecting, recruiting, industry and partner events (50%).
