We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join our Emerging ERP sales team, based in Irvine, California, to make an outstanding contribution to the growth of our regional sales capability. Operating as part of a team, our Regional Sales Managers are responsible for selling Avalaras sales and use tax solutions and working with our partners to promote and increase sales to their customers.
Execute campaigns to drive lead generation for new ERP opportunities
Use superior interpersonal, presentation and communication skills for sales calls and (roughly twice per quarter) for conducting roadshows, seminars and face-to-face meetings as well as hosting demonstrations and partner webinars
Work above and beyond the norm to respond quickly to customer needs
Play a leadership role in the strategic direction of Avalaras ERP business line by thinking creatively and innovatively about how to achieve the best results possible from an individual, team and/or company perspective
Demonstrate high levels of professionalism and leadership by being diligent, thorough and making a positive impact during every sales engagement
Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and annual deal volume, revenue and attachment rate targets through self-motivation, goal setting and solution driven approaches to problem solving
Be adaptable, focus on team work and maintain a strong sense of ethics in all endeavors
Experience and Skills:
3-5+ years experience of successfully building and sustaining relationships with clients (whether end users and/or channel partners) in a business solutions, software sales role
An ability to apply individual creativity and vision in the sales process and, preferably, formal sales training from a recognized industry source
A deep and broad network of strong customer and partner relationships that can be leveraged, ideally including existing relationships with ERP, E-Commerce, M-Commerce and POS platform customers
A demonstrably successful approach to the entire sales process with an intrinsic desire and commitment to demonstrate an unparalleled level of understanding of products and processes
A relevant Bachelors degree.
Specialized knowledge of compliance services, including sales and use tax calculation, exemption certificate management, filing and remittance, and a broad array of related services would be a distinct advantage
