Description:The Regional Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean will have responsibility for all aspects of Aspen?s Industrial Sales function in the Region. The position will work closely with Marketing, Technical Services and Commercial Operations to successfully and profitably grow Aspen?s sales in the Region. The Regional Sales Manager will plan and implement sales programs, both short and long term, targeted toward existing and new customer segments.
Location of this position: Houston, Miami or a city within the region with international airport.
Travel within the regions up to 50% of time.
Duties:?Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for the Region, on a country basis, to achieve corporate top-line revenue growth and gross margin objectives.
?Expand and manage a network of local distributors and agents who will aggressively build our business within their respective markets and develop a strong sales pipeline of opportunities.
?Establish distributor sales quotas and sales forecasts.
?Ensure effective control of sales results, and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of objectives falls within designated budget.
?Monitor and report regional market trends and competitor products and sales activity.
?Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts within the regional end user and engineering community.
?Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
?Participate in regional technical conferences and trade shows.
?Understand complex customer requirements on both a technical and commercial level.
?Achieve a technical knowledge of the Company?s products and their applications.
?Understand general end user industrial processes, and the respective material requirements for these processes.
Qualifications:?A minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree, preferably in Engineering, or Business with a strong technical sales background.
?Written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish required; proficiency in Portuguese is advantageous.
?Minimum of 5 to 8 years of related experience in sales and/or marketing within the Region.
?Minimum of 3 years? experience selling industrial products or services to refineries, gas processing and petrochemical plants or similar.
?Must have experience managing and supporting a distributor or agent network within the Region.
?Must have prior sales experience within the Oil & Gas market in the Region.
