REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - NORTHEAST U.S. Luminus Devices
Reporting to the VP, Global Sales, the Regional Sales Manager is the primary sales interface to assigned strategic accounts and is responsible for the identification, development, negotiation and closing of such accounts. The individual is responsible for setting and meeting challenging sales goals for the designated region as well as maintaining a monthly sales forecast for both direct customers and those managed through distribution. This individual will work closely with the product marketing, applications engineering and systems engineering teams to identify critical product needs of the markets and facilitate the development of profitable products with strategic customers.
Qualified candidates must possess 7+ years of regional direct sales experience, preferably in the General Lighting or LED (semiconductor device) market and have a solid understanding of LED technology, applications and markets within the assigned territory. Candidates should have demonstrated effectiveness working with customer senior management and technical teams, strong business planning skills with strategic mind-set, able to work remotely from direct management. A Bachelor?s degree in electrical, mechanical, optical engineering or equivalent is required. Candidates must be able to travel 35-50% of the time on a regular basis.
