Summary
Metrix, an operating unit of IFS, a global company with more than 50 offices around the world, is searching for an experienced Regional Sales Manager with a passion for selling service management software. The ideal candidate is assertive and entrepreneurial, seeking the opportunity to make a positive impact in a company with a growing presence in the North American business software market. Metrix software applications enable profitable service management through powerful customer support, field service, scheduling, warranty, reverse logistics and mobile solutions. Leveraging over 30 years of experience, Metrix provides a competitive advantage for automating complex service processes to innovative companies such as The Home Depot, Motorola, Ingenico, Honeywell, Olympus, Cubic, Ericsson, IMAX and more.
This position may require up to 40% travel.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Generating revenue from license sales, service sales and maintenance services
Working within an assigned multi-state territory of mid-market companies ($150M - $1B)
Leading the execution of the sales cycle
Selling directly to executive level decision-makers
Selling implementation services to correspond with license sales
Candidate Qualifications include:
Experience with a long, complex sales process (6-9 months) and an average deal size of $200,000-$500,000+
Ability to handle multiple buying influences and sell licenses and services together
Ability to work in a team environment with solution experts
Strategic value selling capability (Strategic Selling, Solution Selling, etc.)
Strong understanding of ERP applications
Understands service management, including field service and return service
Strong understanding of Information Technology
Pre-sales experience a plus
Personal characteristics: quick learner, good problem solver and decision maker, think quickly on your feet, excellent communication skills, assertive personality, strong initiative, dogged persistence, enthusiasm, thrives in a fast paced environment, adaptable, entrepreneurial spirit
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite of personal productivity software
Willingness to travel as required
Education and/or Experience:
5 - 8 years of relevant new business development experience based on complex software sales, preferably including service management software
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or Accounting
