Job Description:
The Regional Sales & Services Partner will work directly with the Field Sales and Professional Development Teams to support clients engaged in pre- and post-sales activities. The Partner should have extensive understanding of school decision making processes and be able to provide support in developing academic solutions in K-12 mathematics related to instructional materials and professional learning. In addition, the Partner should be able to facilitate professional learning for teachers and be intimately familiar with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, Mathematical Practice Standards, and mathematics content for Grades 6-11. The ultimate focus for the Partner will be Customer Focus in the context of Sales and PD.
Sales Activities
Work strategically with the appropriate Regional Account Manager and Client Management Representative on a territory plan to ensure adequate coverage for meetings and overall customer support.
Meets with customers to discuss areas of concern and gaps
Participate in in pre-sale meetings with Regional Account Manager by conducting in depth presentations of the math curriculum.
Able to create cost proposals for clients that convey comprehensive solutions
Develops district contacts and cultivates relationships at all levels in support of Carnegie Learning
Develop and maintain a knowledge database to include:
Account information on organizational structure (parent and subsidiaries), buying process, compensation process, existing products/tools to produce a prospective business report identifying potential business activities necessary to close accounts
Company products and their capabilities versus the strengths/weaknesses of competitive products
Generates, develops, manages, and communicates expectations within assigned accounts as well as increases scope of penetration within each account
Qualifies new opportunities and prospects, dimensions the size of opportunities and articulates probabilities of closure
Customer Focus and Relationship Development
Establish partnerships with teachers and leaders using Carnegie Learning products and/or services
Ensure successful implementations of Carnegie Learning products which include evaluation of the customers technical readiness.
Support in pre- and post-sales activities
Assist both new and existing clients in resolving customer service issues and work closely with the all departments to facilitate resolution of escalated customer issues as needed
Share best practices for mathematics instruction with colleagues, teachers, and leaders
Facilitate ongoing project management and status reporting for schools and districts
Communicate implementation results internally with Regional Vice President, Regional Account Manager, Sr. Manager of School Partnerships & Managers of School Partnerships and other inter-departmental teams
Develop client implementation plans to support implementations in getting up and running and ensuring success
Consult on the development of professional development and training materials as needed
Develop correlations for Carnegie Learning, Inc. curricula to state standards as needed
Facilitate Implementation Fidelity-Focused Professional Development
Initial Implementation Training and Leadership Training to support implementation fidelity
Project Management and Status Meetings to promote data-driven accountability for school improvement
Education & Experience Requirements:
Master?s or Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Mathematics, or related field
Extensive knowledge of K-12 math education market including standards, adoption process, key players, key districts, and more
Focused, disciplined and has strong sales skills to help ?close? business
Excellent presentation skills and customer service demeanor
Ability to communicate effectively with top-level district leadership
Highly proficient with data analysis, interpretation, and communication (to internal and external parties)
Strong professional development background
Strong technology background
Proven ability to work effectively with and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Efficiently prioritize work to ensure critical needs are being met.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the geographic territory (up to 70% travel)
Resides in Southeast: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, or Florida
Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
