Position Summary
The Regional Technician position with LightEdge Solutions will be responsible for working with clients on projects and understanding the clients needs. This will include configuring their CPE, designing their IP routing/switching, allocating IP address space, on-site equipment installation, trouble-shooting with carriers in regards to the circuit during turn-up, documenting the project and proper hand-off to the operations team for support. Training will be a major portion of their activities.

Job Responsibilities

Working with clients on projects and understanding the clients needs.
Configuring their Client Premise Equipment.
Designing their IP routing/switching.
Allocating IP address space.
On-site equipment installation.
Trouble-shooting with carriers in regards to the circuit during turn-up.
Training will be a major portion of their activities.
Product Installations:
Voice Installations
Firewalls
Ethernet switches
Wiring standards (Ethernet, Phone, T1)
Basic turn-ups of circuits
Frame Relay
Point-to-Point
Ethernet
DSL
Documentation of Installs.
Handling tickets on a daily basis and working with a remote team for support.

Experience and Skills

1 3 years experience in a telecommunications/IT environment.
Intermediate trouble-shooting skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Must be analytical and detail oriented.
Ability to communicate with all levels of personal within LightEdge and our customers.
