Regional Vice President of Business Development Cogent Healthcare

Cogent Healthcare is currently seeking a Regional VP of Business Development. The Regional VP will be responsible for driving strong revenue growth by participating directly in the development of new accounts. This position will lead Cogent Healthcare to increased penetration of the market for outsourced hospitalist programs, management services and consulting.
Heavy travel required (50%)
Direct sourcing and networking for targeted hospitals and medical groups
Provides leadership to external prospects and internal team members in the Cogent Healthcare business development process;
Facilitates the procurement and internal distribution of appropriate prospective client data including clinical, financial, quality and other performance data.
Conducts telephonic, internet, and on-site presentations with prospective clients regarding the Cogent System of Care;
Coordinates responses to prospective client questions;
Packages and presents business proposals to prospective clients including financial models, clinical staffing and business/legal terms;
Responsible for communicating with prospective clients in a timely manner;
Interacts and coordinates with the required internal departments to promote the timely progression of prospects through the business development process;
Participates in trade shows, conference calls and corporate meetings Reports on competitive activity and obtains, as appropriate, competitive information;
Submits reports and other updates as required
Education, Training and Experience
College graduate, MBA a plus
5+ years internal/external healthcare sales experience; national experience a plus.
3 ? 5 years experience selling to hospital C-suite
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently while recognizing the importance of collaborative team work
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communications
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Familiar with the principles of CRM; experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
Contract negotiation experience
Maintains strict confidentiality with regard to protected health information and understands and adheres to Cogent's HIPAA Privacy & Security policies and procedures.
