Regional VP Sales and Marketing International Catastrophe Insurance

The RVP Sales and Marketing is responsible for the implementation of the Company?s strategic sales and marketing goals. The RVP Sales and Marketing is responsible for agency and producer management and gathering and conveying market research and intelligence. The RVP Sales and Marketing provides underwriting, production, quality and service support to the Regional Business Unit Leader.
Agency and Producer Management
Develops and maintains positive agency relationships.
Develops and implements effective agency management plans.
Manages agency performance including production, profit, spread of risk, concentration of risk, retention and other measures.
Manage producer appointments and cancellations.
Educates agency personnel and producers about ICAT?s products and services?sells one ICAT.
Trains agency personnel and producers to be successful selling ICAT?s products and services, including identification of appropriate business opportunities, underwriting guidelines and procedures, website use and service.
Supports the achievement of premium and growth goals that align with established company goals, including spread of risk, concentration of risk, expected loss ratio, and PML: premium ratio, and other requirements.
Market Research and Intelligence
Gathers market data for new markets, products, and or segments and works with the Regional and Peril Business Unit Leaders to identify new production opportunities and track competitor activity.
Gathers and reports information through visit reports, team briefings and market updates for the underwriting personnel.
Ensure the delivery of high quality customer service internally and externally.
Develop and manage projects. Responsible for defining project scope, resources and achieving deliverables on time and within budget.
Participate on cross-functional teams.
Other duties as assigned.
Works under the general supervision of the Regional Executive Officer. This position does not supervise other personnel.

A minimum of five years insurance industry experience, preferably in a marketing capacity.
Bachelors Degree in Business, Insurance, or related field or equivalent experience.
Designation and/or License
CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, AU, INS preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Intermediate skills in MS Project.
Intermediate skills in underwriting, claims and data warehousing applications.
Knowledge of e-mail/scheduling software applications.
Physical Work Demands
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Mental Work Demands
Regular and on-time attendance.
Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
Regular travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
