Registrations Associate New Orleans Exchange

The Registrations Associate position serves an integral part the onboarding of all new Member applications and has a significant influence in the operational success of the Exchange throughout the membership cycle of Sellers, Buyers, and other applicants. This individual will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, and evaluation of new Member applications. This position will work hand in hand with the Head of Registrations in approving all applications for membership on the Exchange.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Head of Registrations
Responsibilities:
Collect, analyze and evaluate financial statements and other supporting financial documentation. Consult with applicants on financial documentation and make recommendations for improvement.
Review and verify public record documentation searches on corporate entities.
Conducting detailed background checks on applicants and interpretation of results. Make determinations as to relevancy of the results and need for more in-depth research.
Perform and interpret results of UCC searches and filings; develop working knowledge of UCC Article 9 standards as it relates to commercial finance and TRE?s business.
Evaluate Buyer and Seller applications and provide recommendations for approval and and/or rejection, including those that fall outside of standard requirements, and supporting those recommendations with thorough and compelling analysis.
Review and approval of Account Debtor validations as necessary.
Evaluation of applications for referral partners and other corporate programs, including recommendations for approval or rejection.
Supervision of a small team of Analysts monitoring incoming applications and performing support functions, ensuring application consistency with program standards.
Be an active participant in and assist in development of departmental policies and training programs, editing of playbooks, and training of new team members. This may include supervisory responsibility over a small team of department Analysts.
Think creatively and pro-actively to identify best practice procedures and solutions for Registrations processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree is required and preferably earned in a related field such as Business, Finance, or Accounting.
Experience in financial services or a solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts is required.
2-4 years of experience in a commercial lending or financial services environment preferred.
Individuals with experience in the following are encouraged to apply: Evaluation of credit applications or credit analysis. Field examination or portfolio monitoring in an ABL or factoring setting.
Literacy and working knowledge of UCC filings/statements and public records research.
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous priorities.
