We have an immediate need for a Relationship Manager in the Chicago area. These positions will be critical for building on our success in those markets and accelerating our growth rate in 2010.
general Summary:
Working from a home office the Relationship Manager will be responsible generating sales within their territory as well as participating in the market through networking, association and event marketing.
Essential Job Functions:
- Identify and create new selling opportunities by managing inbound lead activity from assigned territory.
- Plan and prioritize activity and sales pipeline to achieve goals with an emphasis on managing personal time, productivity and accurate forecasting.
- Partner with prospects and sales management to develop a business case for our solution and present the potential return on investment.
- Present SageQuest capabilities through on site visits at prospects location and web based demonstrations when appropriate.
- Follow-up on proposals and negotiate contracts with prospective customers.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, networking groups, professional organizations and the community in order to develop new business.
- Develop sales presentations tailored to the needs of individual consumers.
- Maintaining a thorough working knowledge of all services offered by SageQuest and awareness of the competition, i.e. market share, pricing, services offered, etc.
- Completing all required documentation and reporting including call and meeting activity, forecasting and bids and proposals within assigned territory.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience.
- Proven ability to generate activity through networking and association marketing within assigned territory.
- Experience selling solutions or software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions a major plus.
- Experience calling on small to medium sized companies, directly to owners, presidents and other decision makers.
- Demonstrated previous history of strong achievement and self-motivation.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products and CRM solutions.
- Ability to travel as needed.
