This opportunity is unique in being the key individual to manage software integrations with globally distributed teams along with allowing for growth in our project management team.
The Release Manager will create, design and document a software delivery process that can achieve extreme levels of parallelism and velocity. Along with owning the delivery process and managing cross functional communication to ensure rapid, quality driven delivery to our customers and partners.
Key responsibilities:
Manage multiple release schedules and delivery
Central point of contact and liaise between varying business units to guarantee smooth and timely delivery of software products or updates
Project manage minor version releases, fix releases, integration with other teams within the company. (Project Managers, QA, Support Groups, Integration points with external software). Own and lead the creation, implementation and documentation of processes or products to efficiently manage the release of code
Drive integration projects across worldwide teams and components
Manage release meetings along with timely updated information distribution on current status of Production releases
Participate in setting strategy and goals, translating the goals into deliverables and focuses for the team
Contribute to the project management of future major releases
Skills
5+ years of release management/coordination experience
Experienced in Agile software development and release process
Prior history of delivering high quality products that meets or exceeds customer expectations
Ability to work on multiple projects/releases concurrently in a fast paced environment
Passion for light weight, effective processes and methodologies that will improve the productivity of the organization
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
