SAGE is currently seeking a Reliability Technician to ensure the reliable operation of SageGlass.
The Reliability Technician will provide inspection, measurement, analysis and reporting of SageGlass IGU (Insulating Glass Unit) properties for the Reliability group. A key responsibility of this person will be to characterize devices after stress testing in SAGE?s new high volume manufacturing facility. While some duties will be repetitive and routine, the role will also include opportunities for learning new skills as well as becoming familiar with SageGlass IGU and electrochromic technology. This individual must be comfortable with data recording and data input into a spreadsheet. This opening is for the Day shift with the possibility of overtime. The ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours is desired.
Assist with evaluating key properties of production units prior to shipment.
Evaluate optical, electrical, and physical metrics of electrochromic IGUs.
Gather, record and communicate data to key stakeholders.
Observe time-dependent phenomena to evaluate the quality of electrochromic coatings.
Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed without direct supervision
Ability to multi task and get the job completed effectively
Always observe safety requirements.
Excellent communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Hands on experience using measurement equipment , some examples include voltmeters, calipers, and micrometer.
Experience using MS Excel and data input, MS Word, Ability to learn specialized software.
Basic understanding of statistics. Six Sigma Green Belt training is a plus.
Ability to conduct incoming material inspections is a plus.
Ability to write and update Standard Operating Procedures.
Associates Degree in a science/engineering/technology-related discipline or relevant experience with IGU fabrication is a plus
