Report Writer/Developer Harmony Information Systems

Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define reporting requirements and goals. Must create business and technical requirements documents.Work with product management and application development staff to coordinate the creation and management of reporting structures.
Develop and deliver estimates for custom reports development based on requirements.
Develop reports using standards and taking database performance into considerations when creating query logic.
Manage and maintain product standard reports library for all products, which includes reports developed using Crystal Reports XI R2 (and above) and SQL Reporting Services 2.0 (and above).
Communicate report changes, enhancements, and modifications -through written documentation - to management and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
Develop and recommend procedures for end-users to facilitate best practices use of reporting tools and applications.
Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing report procedures and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
Conduct research and make recommendations on improving reporting tools, services, protocols, and standards.
Conduct customer trainings on Harmony database structures and how to write reports against the Harmony schema.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or information management systems, and 3 to 5+ years related work experience
Preferred Certifications in advanced Crystal/SQL Server Reporting Services development preferred
Proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling
Experience with creating and maintaining data warehouses.
Proven experience with reporting tools, software, and other applications, including Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services
Considerable exposure to the operation and analysis of SQL Server and relational database software and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies
Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts
Demonstrated project management skills
Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
Excellent listening, coaching, interpersonal, written, oral and presentation communication skills
Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
Highly self motivated and directed
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
Strong customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws; specifically as it relates to Health and Human Services (and HiPAA).
Preferred experience with creating reports for regulatory compliance, operational management and outcomes reporting as it relates to Health and Human Services and Social Service providers.
