ENA is currently seeking an experienced Research and Development Engineer to be an integral member of our Technology & Innovation Team in reviewing, redesigning current technologies and services throughout their lifecycle. The R & D engineer will also design and develop new, internally hosted and cloud-based services throughout for ENA?s customers.. The initial focus will be on ENA?s suite of video conferencing, distance learning, managed wifi, and collaboration services.
Job Responsibilities
The R & D engineer has responsibility for:
Meshing business and technical requirements from multiple stakeholders; designs prototype, and developing and collaborating on video, voice, managed wifi, filtering, and other services
Documenting solution architecture and provides training and guidance to tier 1-3 support and engineering teams for new and revamped services.
Working with designers and developers, both internal and third party to both create new applications and to improve current ones
Researching and maintaining currency with new developments, standards, protocols, and technologies related to ENA products and services
Synthesizing technologies from multiple vendors into a singular customer-facing product, requiring the development and integration of solutions.
Acting as internal and external, customer-facing product expert on new and revamped ENA solutions as required.
Job Requirements
This position requires a B.S. degree in engineering, computer science, technology or related field and/or a minimum of 5 years experience in a software engineering, systems engineering, or R&D engineering role. Must have technical experience working with HTML5, PHP, Perl, bash, SQL (DB), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar languages and technologies. Additional expertise and demonstrated experience in one of the following segments is preferred: 802.11x WiFi, unified communications and collaboration, video teleconferencing, content filtering, traffic management, mobile device management and/or VoIP.
